A member of Waterloo Region ACORN since practically the beginning, Acer has been very active in fighting locally for a renoviction and rental replacement bylaw. Growing up low-income and queer in downtown Kitchener has informed much of Acer's activism and she hopes one day for a world where all aspects of life are affordable and accessible to all.
