Ottawa ACORN: Housing Priority Planning Meeting

We have made great progress with housing demands, but as costs of living continue to rise and developers keep demolishing affordable housing, it is becoming clear: the fight is far from over.

The overwhelming majority of Ottawa city councilors are homeowners, and yet they are the ones making decisions on issues impacting tenants. However, renters deserve to be heard and have their concerns addressed! That's why we are launching our citywide housing justice priorities, based on members' concerns from across the city.

Over the next two months, we will be identifying ACORN members' biggest municipal housing priority - whether that be high rent, renovictions, dealing with slumlords or something else entirely!
