ACORN Peel: Municipal Election Healthy & Affordable Homes Discussion

Municipal elections are coming and we need a city council that cares!

Peel ACORN is organizing a discussion with candidates of City Councillor and Regional Councillor candidates for Brampton city Wards 3 and 4. Join us for a virtual discussion on October 13th, Thursday at 6:30 PM.

The discussion will focus on Peel ACORN Healthy & Affordable Homes Platform that details priorities that ACORN members have identified. These include:

• Implementation of a strong inclusionary zoning policy in Brampton.
• Implementation of a RentSafe program similar to the city of Toronto. Peel ACORN members won a similar program in Mississauga which is now called the Mississauga Apartment Rental Compliance (MARC) program.
• No Tenant Displacement – Strong tenant protections in case of renovictions/demovictions.
