The Government of Canada is undertaking consultations on the National Housing Strategy, but despite a visit by 250+ ACORN members to the federal Ministry of Housing in June, tenants are being left out of the conversation entirely! Meanwhile, billions of dollars of federal housing funding is being funnelled into Toronto, but most of it is going to downtown neighbourhoods and only a third will go to rent-controlled housing developments!
