Stop Subsidies for Tilbury LNG!

Did you know that your FortisBC bill went up again this year? Most ratepayers are seeing an average increase of $130 annually—and it’s not because of "market costs". It’s because the capital costs of a private gas monopoly are being passed on to us like we are a personal ATM.

One major project we are already being forced to subsidize is Phase 1 of the Tilbury Gas Facility expansion in Delta. It gets worse: if the government greenlights "Phase Two" of this expansion, we’re looking at another $120 annual increase. FortisBC wants to build this massive export terminal to send gas overseas on tankers via the Fraser River. They get the profits; we get the bill.

It’s time to tell FortisBC: If you want to expand, do it on your own dime!
