London ACORN Holiday Hangout

What a year it’s been for London ACORN! The organizing we've done this year has led to some amazing growth and wins that will improve the lives of low income tenants in London for years to come. 

Some exciting highlights to celebrate from 2025 include:

- Making rent control a priority issue discussed by MPP candidates during Ontario's provincial election
- Securing multiple meetings with city councillors to move forward our Landlord Licensing campaign
- Exposing London Middlesex Community Housing's poor housing conditions through powerful actions and galvanizing more LMCH tenants to get organized
- Seeing our hard-earned anti-renoviction bylaw come into force in London, helping protect tenants across the city from renovictions
- Holding our now-famous "Slumlord of the Year" awards ceremony to expose London's worst landlords
- Forcing Michael Klein to finally withdraw the renovictions for ALL remaining tenants at 1270 & 1280 Webster - now, these tenants will be protected by London's new anti-renoviction bylaw!
- ACORN's massive, unprecedented organizing push against Bill 60 and saving Ontario's remaining rent control from the chopping block

It's been an exciting and busy year with lots of new faces, campaigns and wins, so this year we're holding a cozy, end of year potluck to celebrate with our neighbors and toast to more exciting wins in 2026.

Join us for some Bad Landlord Bingo, a Potluck, 50/50 raffle, member awards and more at ACORN's Holiday Hangout on Saturday, December 13th from 4-7PM at the ACORN office!

To help support our campaigns in the new year, we will have a $5 suggested donation at the door or pay what you can, which gets you a free bingo ticket and meal at the potluck!
