Mississauga ACORN Pre-Meeting, Public Consultation on Renoviction Bylaw

The City of Mississauga is considering NEW tenant protections against renovictions. This is a direct result of ACORN members' organizing across the province!

In January 2024, Hamilton became the first city in Ontario to pass an anti-renoviction bylaw after a 6 year long campaign by ACORN members in the city. The bylaw is based off the successful policy of New Westminster, BC which reduced renovictions from 333 to ZERO. Now, Toronto has passed a similar bylaw and it's time for Mississauga to do the same!  The City is hosting a virtual public consultation on Wed April 9th.
