Tenants across London are constantly battling slumlords for repairs or pest treatments that often are never completed, meanwhile those same slumlords enjoy the consistent profits they make from tenants dutifully paying rent each month.

Why should tenants keep putting up with bug bites, leaks, and mold? Why isn't the City keeping up with holding landlords accountable?

This is why London ACORN members are fighting for the City to License ALL Landlords in London! Licensing means the City would proactively inspect ALL buildings consistently to make sure landlords are keeping up with maintenance - this takes the onus and risk off tenants who are afraid of reporting their landlord for fear of retaliation!
