Rally for Rent Control! (Toronto)

Right now, Ontario only has rent control for buildings constructed before 2018. This loophole has led to soaring rents, the destruction of affordable housing, and unchecked corporate greed. It’s time to put people before profits!

ACORN's Demands:

1. Rent Control for ALL Buildings: Expand rent control to include ALL buildings, not just those built before 2018.
2. Vacancy Control: Stop unlimited rent increases between tenancies to prevent predatory rent hikes.
3. Ban Above-Guideline Rent Increases (AGIs): End landlord loopholes that allow unjustified rent hikes under the guise of repairs.
