Toronto ACORN: Resist Renovictions Citywide Action!

Toronto ACORN members are having a city wide action to call on the city of Toronto to stand up to developers and landlords who are renovicting tenants all across the city.

Because of the direct actions of the Leduc / Torbolton ACORN Tenant Union, they won $10,000 from the tenant defence fund to help fight their renoviction which was the first of it's kind in Toronto. They have also refused to move from their homes, when they were supposed to be out by March 31.

There is an important vote this day, and we are taking a stand to let the city know we need to replicate the New Westminster renoviction bylaw so this NEVER happens again and to protect tenants from predatory landlords.
