Toronto ACORN & Allies Join Together to Call on the City to Protect Toronto Tenants from Extreme Heat

Toronto ACORN members came to City Hall on Tuesday June 4th with Toronto Environmental Alliance, Canadian Environmental Legal Association, and community Resilience to Extreme Weather, and other allies to fight for tenants, seniors, and other vulnerable people to beat the heat!
ACORN and allies released a joint statement calling on actions that the City of Toronto needs to take to protect tenants from extreme heat.

As climate change makes summers increasingly hot, people are suffering due to the lack of cooling in their units and buildings. ACORN and allies are calling on the the city of Toronto to take action to implement a maximum heat bylaw and provide air conditioning for seniors and other vulnerable people.
