Ontario ACORN members launched the election period last night! With nearly 200 ACORN members from all over Ontario joining ACORNs virtual Housing forum and Provincial Platform Launch on April 28th, 2022!
The dream team of leaders included Alejandra Ruiz Vargas and Fathuma Jama from Toronto, Tanya Burkart from Brampton, Anica Rak from Hamilton, Jordan Smith from London, and Lionel Njeukam from Ottawa!
Members launched ACORN’s 2022 Ontario Provincial platform and hosted ONDP Housing, Tenants Rights and Urban Planning critic and MPP from University-Rosedale, Jessica Bell to tell us about the Ontario NDP housing platform and answer questions from members.
ACORN members invited both the Ontario Liberal Party and the Ontario Progressive Conservative party to attend and to explain their party’s housing platform. Both parties declined.
If last night was any indication of what’s to come, Doug Ford has no idea what’s coming for him in June!
