OCH Work Order Blitz Gets INSTANT Repairs for Ledbury & Banff Tenants!

Ottawa South ACORN held a Work Order Blitz at the Ledbury and Banff OCH community in response to members living there who came to a Chapter meeting and raised ongoing concerns about outstanding repairs, pests, and maintenance issues (i.e., one resident faced water pressure issues for over seven months).
Too many work orders were going unresolved for too long. So neighbours came together to take action, document concerns, and demand the safe, well-maintained homes they deserve.
More than 20 residents shared their outstanding maintenance and repair issues during the event. OCH representatives also attended, and, on site, repairs were made to doorsteps and screen doors! Over the past few weeks, OCH has attended to many of the remaining issues of the same residents!
This is what can happen when tenants know their rights, speak up, and stand together. The work is not over, but this action showed the power tenants have when they organize.
