NB Tenants Vote Platform Launch
Posted June 6, 2024
The NB Tenants Vote provincial election platform was released last week as NB ACORN laid out its plans to get tenants to the polls in the upcoming provincial election.
NB ACORN is expanding its policy demands beyond just housing to include other issues that are crucial to low-to-moderate income tenants. Issues such as energy poverty, raising disability support payments, and giving a lifeline to families ravaged by the effects of the growing opioid epidemic.
NB ACORN Chair Nichola Taylor “The upcoming election will be as pivotal for the province as it will be close. Every vote will matter. That is why ACORN is going to ensure that low-to-moderate income tenants know the issues, where each party stands, and where and how to vote. Every party leader will know where to stand if they want extra votes in the election.”
And if you are in NB let all party leaders now: Want my vote? Commit to permanent rent control.
