NB ACORN Summit Success!

On Saturday NB ACORN held an ACORN Summit! Starting, we had the UNB Legal Clinic teaching the conference-goers their rights as tenants! This presentation had great in-depth discussion on what to do when facing an eviction, renoviction, and excellent questions from everybody who went!
This was followed by a meeting about our Do Rent Control Right Platform, where we discussed with the Housing Minister David Hickey about what he plans to do with the Residential Tenancies Act in its first amendments this Fall (which has not been updated since it was released 50 years ago!!!!) and he took some great ideas from our conversations we had with him.
Great connections made for New Brunswickers all around, look forward to when New Brunswick gets some big wins for Tenants Rights by the end of the year!
