NB ACORN celebrates Pride and its special connection with Labour

NB ACORN had a blast at the River of Pride Festival and the Labour Day Picnic.

At the River of Pride Festival in Moncton, ACORN celebrated love and spread the word about tenant campaigns in New Brunswick! ACORN’s tabling crew handed out pride flags to tenants in exchange for their participation in the NB Housing Standards Survey, which was a fabulous way of getting the word out about our work! Some people drove from as far away as St Andrews to celebrate the day.

At the annual Labour Day Picnic in Moncton, ACORN was able to share the spotlight with our brothers and sisters in the labour movement. The point NB ACORN was making is that workers’ struggles and tenants’ struggles need to move forward in lockstep if we are going to win. Moncton and District Labour Council put on yet another great event!
