ACORN NB Co-Hosts the Tantramar Gas Plant Information Session in Moncton!

Moncton, New Brunswick – On January 17th, ACORN NB and the Protect the Chignecto Isthmus Coalition came together to present an information session about the controversial RIGS Gas Power Plant being proposed for the Tantramar region.
The event had amazing guest speakers, like Tantramar MLA Megan Mitton, Moe Qureshi of the Conservation Council of New Brunswick and our own NB ACORN Chair Nichola Taylor! All had powerful speeches on how this proposed gas plant is outdated and will hurt all New Brunswickers, environmentally, socially and financially. This is 2026, not 1926!
