ACORN Crashes the Premier’s Stampede Breakfast with a Message: NO to ADAP!

Posted July 6, 2026

This morning, ACORN brought the fight against ADAP directly to Premier Danielle Smith and her government at the Premier’s Stampede Breakfast at McDougall Centre.

We arrived bright and early with our massive ADAP = Poverty banner and raised it high where the Premier, cabinet ministers, and everyone in attendance could see it. With a captive audience of Danielle Smith and members of her government, our chants against ADAP became the backdrop to the Premier’s entire event.

The Alberta government may want to celebrate the Calgary Stampede but disabled Albertans and their allies aren’t going to let them ignore the people who will be hurt by ADAP. Wherever Danielle Smith and her government go, we’ll keep showing up, getting loud, and demanding dignity and security for Albertans with disabilities.

NO TO ADAP!
