East Hamilton tenants host rally and BBQ to defend their affordable housing from renoviction

ACORN members and tenants from 375 Melvin Ave in Hamilton hosted a rally and community BBQ on Saturday March 26th to fight back against their landlord’s plans to renovict long term tenants.
Family Properties bought 375 Melvin last year and quickly handed out N13 renoviction notices.
Tenants in the building are not moving! Their homes are affordable and livable.
ACORN is demanding the landlord stop all efforts to displace tenants from their home and is calling on the City of Hamilton to take action on the Hamilton renoviction crisis.
