The ACORN Political Action Commitee (APAC) is an ACORN sister organization made up of ACORN members who volunteer to evaluate candidates and support them during elections.

After almost 2 months of surveying candidates on the Agenda for Change Platform which captures many issues such as affordable & livable housing, municipal broadband, transit, childcare, good jobs, climate change, social services and more, nearly 50 ACORN members joined the APAC to make their recommendations for candidate endorsements.

They are:

MAYOR – Catherine McKenney

ORLEANS EAST CUMBERLAND – 1 – Tessa Franklin
ORLEANS WEST-INNES – 2 – Lori Stinson
STITTSVILLE – 6 – Kevin Hua
BAY – 7- Theresa Kavanagh

COUNT ON ME TO VOTE FOR APAC ENDORSED CANDIDATES – CLICK HERE!

With advanced voting happening on Oct 7th & Oct 14th we encourage you to look up if there’s a polling station in your building.

*NOTE if you have a polling station in your building during advanced polls it won’t be there on election day so vote early!*

If you can’t vote on the 7th or 14th the last day to vote will be on Election Day, Monday Oct 24th.

The APAC encourages ACORN members to volunteer with endorsed candidates’ campaigns – they need all the help they can get to win (many have developer backed opponents with deep pockets). If elected, we can hold them accountable to champion ACORN issues at City Hall!
