Weston ACORN members had a healthy homes action on Thursday August 12 for the tenants of 1465 Lawrence Ave west‼️
Big landlord Corporations like Starlight Investments and Cogir Management, make million dollars of profit by charging high rent to tenants, Above the Guideline Rent Increases, and yet fail to do repairs and fail to hear tenant concerns.?
Not only are tenants forced to live with mould, broken appliances, plumbing issues, pest infestations and work orders constantly being ignored – they are also having to spend their own money for repairs which is illegal and wrong. Members gave speeches and delivered a letter to their superintendent on site.
No human being should be forced to live in such horrific living conditions.
