ACORN Marches on Stephen Avenue to SAY NO TO ADAP!

The rollout of ADAP has been a bureaucratic mess. Today, many people who were expecting their benefits reported that they hadn’t received their payments. At the same time, disabled Albertans are struggling to get answers about a confusing system that no one seems able to explain. People are afraid that one mistake navigating this process could cost them the support they depend on.

Albertans deserve better.

The UCP may have hoped that once ADAP came into effect people would move on and stop fighting. They are wrong.

ADAP is wrong. It pushes people deeper into poverty, creates unnecessary confusion and anxiety, and leaves disabled Albertans wondering if they’ll be able to pay their rent or buy groceries.

We’re not going anywhere.

We’ll keep organizing. We’ll keep showing up. And we’ll keep fighting until disabled Albertans get the dignity, security, and support they deserve.
