Be Fair Fortis!

New West chapter leaders attended a coalition event with our allies Stand.earth and their network of organizations to fight back on LNG expansion and funding.
We were at the event to show solidarity and to fight against Fortis’s $ 3.5 billion gas expansion and liquefaction site along the Fraser River in Delta, as they look to pass on extreme price hikes (as much as $250) to ratepayers.
CityTV was there and interviewed Garry Rodden, who talked about the impact of the Tilbury expansion on ratepayers and the environment. We got our flags in much of the coverage of the event.
Lastly, we had one new member join the fight and lots of additional interest and outreach!
