Waterloo Region ACORN chapter launch!

On Thursday, September 14th ACORN members from across Waterloo Region launched their FIRST OFFICIAL ACORN chapter at their big meeting with a whopping 40 attendees coming out to show their support! At the big meeting, members elected their local ACORN board of representatives – Acer Bonaparte as Chair, Maribel Jagorin as Co-Chair, and Meg Ruttan as Secretary. Members also discussed their upcoming big action to launch their campaign for a renoviction bylaw in Waterloo Region!
Waterloo Region ACORN members are tired of the rampant disrepair, pests, and renovictions happening in their neighbourhoods and they’re ready to FIGHT BACK!
Join us in solidarity on Friday, September 22nd at 1PM outside Kitchener City Hall where ACORN members will be sharing their horror stories about renovictions and demanding a renoviction bylaw from their local representatives to protect tenants from these predatory practices!
