Montreal ACORN held an election for the Lasalle chapter!

La première communauté ACORN LaSalle, a été créée après une élection historique entièrement organisée et faite par téléphone et vidéoconférence durant la COVID-19. Les membres de la communauté LaSalle se sont connectés en nombre, hommes, femmes, toutes générations pour élire le président, la co-présidente et le secrétaire de LaSalle. S’en est suivi une discussion animée autour du permis des propriétaires que nous demandons à la ville d’adopter. Le permis régulera les exigences de salubrité et de maintenance auxquelles les propriétaires de Montréal devront se conformer. Restez informés de la prochaine action que nous mènerons autour de l’insalubrité à LaSalle et Montréal.

The first ACORN LaSalle chapter was created after a historic election, entirely organized and conducted by phone and videoconference during COVID-19. Members of the LaSalle community have connected in numbers, men, women, all generations to elect the president, co-president and secretary of LaSalle. A lively discussion ensued around landlord licensing, that we are asking the city to adopt. Licensing will regulate the health and maintenance requirements with which Montreal landlords must comply. Stay informed of the next action we will take in LaSalle and Montreal!
