Members from ACORN’s Central Ottawa chapter delivered their LeBreton Flats Report sharing their recommendations for the new development directly to the NCC

Ottawa, Ontario – Members from ACORN’s Central Ottawa chapter delivered their LeBreton Flats Report sharing their recommendations for the new development directly to the NCC, surrounded by a show of community solidarity with fellow ACORN members, and community allies like MPP Joel Harden, Councillor Catherine McKenney and Emilie Hayes from the Somerset West Community Health Centre & LeBreton Flats CBA Coalition.
The LeBreton Flats Report includes the results from ACORN’s Community Benefits survey, which gathered over 300 responses from local residents, low income and working class tenants, living in the areas surrounding LeBreton Flats. The report also included ACORN’s 15 demands for the new development which include:

- Accessible Transit
- Affordable Grocery Store
- Local Hiring & Good Jobs with Fair Wages
