Halifax ACORN fights back against slumlord Neil Andreino of RAINBOW international.

On December 20th Nova Scotia ACORN demands Neil Andreino of Rainbow international to halt the eviction of our member Chris Stevens.

”The landlord just wants to maximise the money he makes. The way he treats tenants is inhumane. First he tries to get a 109% rent increase, and when that doesn’t work he makes up lies to renovict us. We are doing the action to let him know tenants are going to fight for their homes. Predatory landlord tactics like this should be illegal.” quoted from Chris Stevens.

His landlord Neil Andreino has the audacity to make up lies to evict tenants from his various properties.

Halifax ACORN went to his office at 50 Thornhill drive to demand they stop  the eviction. Neil wasn’t in the office but Halifax ACORN  member Sam Hall made a very compelling speech about the injustices tenants face in the hands of landlords like Neil Andreino.

Tenants in Nova Scotia have to constantly worry  whether they’ll be renovicted or not as there are no current by-laws to protect them from renovictions.

That is why We are fighting back against predatory landlords like Neil Andreino.

Nova Scotia ACORN  is  demanding the provincial government to protect tenants and ban renovictions as soon as possible!
