London ACORN Rally Demands City-Wide Landlord Licensing!
Posted October 6, 2026

London ACORN gathered at City Hall for a rally demanding a proactive, city-wide landlord licensing program. With municipal elections approaching on October 26, the turnout sent a clear message to municipal leaders that healthy housing and landlord accountability must be top priorities.
Members outlined the key demands of the Landlord Licensing campaign: including proactive building inspections, transparent inspection reporting, and strict enforcement mechanisms to replace the current system, which relies on complaint-driven procedures. London ACORN spokespeople shared personal experiences and testimonials detailing long-standing repair delays, neglected maintenance, and substandard living conditions across various rental buildings in the city.
Candidates in attendance participated by signing a pledge committing to support and vote for landlord licensing if elected.
The fight is ongoing!
