The new ACORN group in North Etobicoke started their organizing drive with a bang last week.
Over 80 residents at 2667 Kipling Ave participated in an ACORN Tenant Speak-Out and rang alarm bells once again on notorious landlord Vincenzo Barrasso. And yes, you may have heard that name before. Barrasso is also is the landlord at 1775 and 1765 Weston Rd.
Great leadership by Peter D’Gama brought this successful action together. Members also got a visit from Ward 1 councillor Vincent Crisanti who agreed to order city bylaw to prioritize this building.
The North Etobicoke meetings take place on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:30PM in the meeting room of 2667 Kipling Ave. Next one is on June 22nd after ACORN’s National Convention.
