77 Howard St Pizza Delivery!

A small but mighty crew shook 77 Howard St yesterday morning, after the catastrophic flooding and explosion hit the building. Owned by Parwell Investments Inc. and managed by WPSQ Property Management, the landlord has also notoriously left tenants distressed in other buildings – namely 650 Parliament St that also suffered through a fiery explosion as well. They are now recruiting tenants by paying their current tenants a sum of money – almost like an MLM.
But we are demanding them to pay tenants a rental abatement or forgiveness of one month’s worth of rent after the flood damage (tenants were knee-deep in water), the wasted groceries, lost assets, cost of relocation to hotels, etc. Tenants were out of electricity for a few weeks, and elevators stopped working in this 24-storey building which severely affected the disabled. Further, transparency was demanded by tenants after the explosion, as the landlord blamed the event on a “natural disaster.” We would like to bargain for this all at a meeting with WPSQ Management and Parwell Investments Inc.
We also invited MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam, who has also been ardently fighting for this building through their many letters and door-knocking efforts.
