Tenants of 2880 Carling Avenue held a petition action on Friday, November 8th to fight back against Timbercreek taking them to court in order to increase the rent by over 5%. Tenants are also calling for immediate repairs in units with bugs, mould, and heat and water issues in addition to a landlord registration bylaw to hold landlords accountable. City Councillor Theresa Kavanagh attended the action and was taken on a tour of the building by tenants.

Tenants are also holding a rally outside the courtroom, in protest of Timbercreek’s above-the-guideline rent increase.

The rally will take place at 12:00 pm, on Wednesday, November 13th, @ 255 Albert St.  JOIN US!
