Hamilton East End chapter gets reorganized!

18 East End members attended our chapter meeting and board election last night. Since February members held three organizing committee meetings to decide on organizing priorities for the chapter, get more East End tenants involved and elect new leaders for the board.
Congratulations to chair Kayla Leet and secretary Christine Horning on being reelected. Agenda included tenant updates and discussing next steps for tenant unions at 355 Melvin Ave, 335 Melvin Ave, 468 Ottawa St N and Valery buildings in Bartonville / Glenview neighborhood.
The chapter’s first action this year will be a rally at Conservative MPP Lumsden office on May 26 at 3 pm on Ontario ACORN’s provincial platform with focus on rent control. East End ACORN is ready to fight for justice in East Hamilton!
