Toronto ACORN members build people power at the People’s Assembly!

Toronto Acorn, Ontario – Last night, dozens of ACORN members from across Toronto packed into our People’s Assembly to hear updates from neighbourhood chapters and discuss how to move our campaigns forward for full rent control, landlord licensing, and grocery price control legislation.
We were also ecstatic to hear the inspiring words of Andria Babbington, the President of the Toronto & York Region Labour Council, who spoke of how tenants, migrants, and the whole working class are being left behind, and how we can build power to fight back!
