Toronto ACORN fights for teeth for RentSafeTO!

On Friday March 5th Toronto ACORN went to city hall to win teeth for RentSafeTO!
Our press conference was covered by Toronto Star, Global, Citynews, and CBC! ACORN members Alejandra Ruiz Vargas, Marcia Stone, and Michael Cuadra spoke as well as Councillors Josh Matlow and Parthi Kadavel.
Then, at Planning and Housing Committee we unanimously won a vote to hold RentSafeTO accountable. ACORN members Alejandra Ruiz Vargas, Khadija Al-Maqdisy, Michael Cuadra, and Thomas Gomes made excellent deputations. All the councillors gave ACORN the recognition as being the champion tenant group for RentSafeTO! Watch planning and housing committee here (got to around 1h 30min)
