TCHC Action Towards Eliminating Bedbugs at 444 Lumsden Ave!

Yesterday, on Tuesday January 9th, ACORN members and residents of 444 Lumsden Ave organized a tenant speakout outside of their building. Despite severe weather alerts reporting sleet, nine ACORN members and residents stood their ground and fought against the infinite spawning of bedbugs and were not discouraged by both the weather, and Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC). As we know, Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) has been notorious for collapsing ceilings, unsound structure, and of course, bedbugs.

ACORN members of 444 Lumsden Ave have been on an ongoing feat towards getting rid of these pesky critters in their building, and yesterday we grew closer towards winning more funding for RentSafeTO. CityNews came out, and we won a press hit at 444 Lumsden Ave!
