""Nova Scotia ACORN held a virtual forum on Wednesday to discuss Nova Scotia’s newly won rent control legislation and look towards the future of housing justice.

The event was a massive success, with community members tuning in from all over the province to participate. ACORN members spoke on a wide range of issues including the history of and need for permanent rent control, inclusionary zoning, and the creation of a landlord registry. A huge thanks to Nova Scotia NDP Leader Gary Burrill for joining us and speaking on the importance of community action.

The forum also highlighted that ACORN’s work is far from done, and we must continue to combat the housing crisis in Nova Scotia
