Toronto tenants take demands to landlord in St. Jamestown

Posted September 19, 2014

Tenants in St. Jamestown living in a massive complex of apartment buildings owned by G&S Group of Companies took matters into their own hands at a quick hit yesterday, Thursday September 18th. Concerns including overflowing garbage bins and chutes, constantly broken elevators, water being shut off for days at a time, management not performing or ignoring work-orders, and rodent and bug infestations have grown into formulated demands that Toronto ACORN members say the landlord must deal with, or face a larger fight.

The quick hit resulted in G&S agreeing to a meeting with ACORN in their complex.
