ACORN Canada is looking for motivated individuals interested in fighting and winning local, provincial and national social justice campaigns in Canada. ACORN Canada is made up of more than 120,000 low and moderate-income member families, in 20 local chapters throughout the country, organized democratically through community organizing.
 
We are Canada's largest grassroots community organization for low and moderate income families. We have won many important social justice campaigns around payday lending, tenant issues, disability rights and fair banking.
 
Job description:
 
You will be part of a team that supports local, grassroots community organizing in order to expand the reach of BC ACORN's economic justice campaigns. Our campaigns don't get money from the government or big corporations so we can hold the powers that be accountable; fundraising allows us to stay independent and serve the interest of our members (not some outside funder!). The job will include managing the day-to-day administration of the BC ACORN office as well as phonebanking our membership and donors.
 
No experience is required. Training provided. Room for advancement in organization is available.
