Today, Hamilton ACORN leaders led by Mike Wood gathered on the steps of City Hall to release a report on the substandard living conditions in the majority of it’s low to moderate income member’s apartments.
Mike Wood shared the report at the last Rental Housing Sub-Committee and spoke about the lack of action this term.
The Committee voted to pass a Landlord Licensing Pilot in wards 1 and 8 for low density rentals.
ACORN sees this as one step closer to City wide landlord licencing of mid and high rise apartments!
