Help Needed: Volunteer with ACORN!

Are you looking to get involved in your community? Is someone you know looking for a fun way to spend their summer? Do you want to take action in creating positive change for our city?

NOW is the perfect time to get involved!

Ottawa ACORN is looking for volunteers to engage with the community through phone calls, data entry, petitioning, flyering, postering AND MORE! With a busy summer ahead, we need YOUR HELP to keep the fight going!

Volunteer shifts at the ACORN office for calls and data entry would run from 3–7 PM on weekdays in the afternoons and evenings - perfect for fitting into your summer schedule!

PS. Tired of living with leaks, pests, and no repairs? Join ACORN’s Healthy Homes Panel Tues, June 24th at 6PM at Tom Brown Arena (141 Bayview Station Rd) and tell city councillors it’s time landlords are held accountable. Planning to join? RSVP using our google form!

PPS. Electricity costs are rising! Low and moderate income households may qualify for the OESP Program. Call the ACORN office at (613) 746-5999 ext. 1 to schedule an appointment and see if you qualify to save $45 each month off your electricity bill.

Ottawa ACORN recherche des bénévoles pour s'engager avec la communauté avec des appels, du porte à porte, des pétitions, saisie de données, des dépliants, des affiches ET PLUS ENCORE! Avec un été chargé à venir, on a besoin de VOTRE AIDE pour continuer le combat!

Les quarts de travail des bénévoles au bureau d'ACORN pour les appels et la saisie de données se dérouleraient de 15h à 19h en semaine l'après-midi et le soir, ce qui est parfait pour s'intégrer à votre horaire d'été!

P. Fatigué de vivre avec des fuites, des parasites et aucune réparation? Joignez-vous au panel Healthy Homes d'ACORN le mardi 24 juin à 18h au Aréna Tom Brown (141 Bayview Station Rd) et dites aux conseillers municipaux qu'il est temps que les propriétaires soient tenus responsables. Vous prévoyez de vous joindre à nous? RSVP en utilisant notre formulaire google!

PP. Les prix de l'électricité augmentent! Les ménages à revenu faible ou modéré peuvent être admissibles au programme POAFE. Appelez le bureau d'ACORN au (613) 746-5999 poste 1 pour prendre rendez-vous et voir si vous êtes admissible à économiser 45$ chaque mois sur votre facture d'électricité.
