CHAPTER ELECTIONS (Waterloo)

Join your neighbors for Waterloo Region ACORN's next monthly chapter meeting where we'll be holding elections for our local chapter board! The meeting is happening on Tuesday, October 1st at 6:30PM at the Civic Hub!

Just some quick reminders about the elections:

• We’ll be electing our local board, made up of a chair, co-chair, and secretary
• To run or vote for these positions, you must be a full member ($15/month minimum dues)
• Nominees for each position will be given time for a 2 minute (maximum) speech 
• Highly encouraged to attend in-person, this will greatly simplify the voting process (and also lets you meet your election candidates in person to get to know them!)
• If you really can’t join in-person, you’ll need access to the internet to join the Zoom, and you’ll need to be able to use Google Forms. 
  • There will be a little less privacy with online voting because we’ll need to verify your information to confirm you're a full member, and to make sure people aren’t voting twice

Come out to join your neighbours to elect your local representatives, discuss local issues, and brainstorm actions to fight for real change!
