People are being dep orted. Families are being separated. Those who rem ain are forced to work with fewer rights and more fear.

\n At the same time\, working class people are being squeezed by high rents\, lo w wages\, service cuts\, and insecurity. Migrants are being blamed for a crisis created by underfund ing\, privatization\, corporate greed\, and govern ments that put the rich first.

\n Bl aming migrants does not lower rents\, raise wages\ , or fix healthcare. It divides workers and lets b osses\, landlords\, corporations\, and governments off the hook. Migrants are not the cause of the c risis. Migrants are part of the solution.

\n This fall\, the federal government is dec iding the future of immigration: who gets permanen t residency\, who remains temporary\, and who is p ushed out.

\n On September 20\, one day before Parliament returns\, join people across the country taking action to demand:

\n Status for all: Permanent resident status for migrants already here\, and permanent resident st atus on arrival for migrants coming in the future.
\n Renew permits: Automatically renew expire d and expiring work and study permits\, restore st atus\, and ensure no one is pushed into exploitati on or deportation.
\n End exploitation: End e mployer-tied permits. Ensure equal labour rights\, safe housing\, healthcare\, services\, and real e nforcement against abusive bosses.
\n Stop de portations: End removals\, detention\, family sepa ration\, and attacks on refugees.
