BC ACORN Members Rallying for Tenant's Rights!

On August 1st, 2013, BC ACORN members gathered outside the Residential Tenancy Branch in Burnaby for a Tenants' Rights Rally. 36 members showed their support for getting changes made to the BC Residential Tenancy Act for stiffer penalties for slumlords that don't take care of their tenants' concerns.

When one of our members was denied access to the Branch Manager to hand in a letter demanding a meeting with the Housing Minister Rich Coleman, all the members rallying outside office stormed upstairs. The Branch Manager then came out to tell members she had personally faxed the letter to Rich Coleman.
