ACORN Canada's tireless efforts to keep the high cost of internet in the public eye led to our members being invited to the CRTC's public hearing on internet access and affordability. Last Thursday, 10 ACORN members told personal stories about how not having access to home internet has impeded their - and their childrens' - success in the digital economy.
In February, we published a report that demonstrated how high internet costs significantly hinder low-income earners' ability to get out of poverty.
And we need to keep the pressure on! We are asking all of our members and supporters to sign and share our Internet for All petition with their social media networks and email lists. So let's get the word out that Internet is for All.
